"Follow your dreams while learning to be healthy"
Happy 78th Birthday, Mom! I miss you...
Although it's been a little more than six years since you left this world, you're still so completely missed.  I love you.  Your son,  Erik

Oh, Great Spirit,
whose voice I hear in the winds
and whose breath gives life
to all the world, hear me.

I am small and weak.
I need your strength and wisdom.

Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes
ever behold the red and purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the things you have made
and my ears sharp to hear your voice.

Make me wise so that I may understand
the things you have taught my people.
Let me learn the lessons you have hiddenin every leaf and rock.

I seek strength, not to be superior to my brother,
but to fight my greatest enemy – myself.

Make me always ready to come to you
with clean hands and straight eyes,
so when life fades, as the fading sunset,
my spirit will come to you without shame.

Six Year Anniversary
"God of our ancestors in faith, by the covenant made on Mount Sinai You taught Your people to strengthen the bonds of family through faith, honor, and love. Look kindly upon Henrietta, a mother who sought to bind her children to You. Bring her to Your heavenly home where the saints dwell in blessedness and peace."
Still deeply missing you...

Happy 77th Birthday, Mom!
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

I love you, mom!  I still miss you but know you're in a better place.

Mom's 76th Birthday
Mom's been gone for four years now...there's not a day that goes by where I don't think about her.  I think about how she used to sing Julie Andrews "Sound of Music" around the house when I was little-little.  Or how she used to make her meatloaf.  I LOVED her meatloaf, and always looked forward to it.  And I always enjoyed our talks at the kitchen table...I miss them.  But I know that she's in a better place now.  I miss you mom.  I love you!  Happy 76th Birthday

Mom's 74th Birthday
Another birthday passed without mom You're so missed by so many people, it's hard to even begin... I'm not sure if you ever knew the impact you had on people's lives, but I'll always remember you for all of the wonderful things you did for us, and all of the sacrifices made to raise us by yourself. I love you!

Two Year Anniversary Of Burial
Henri H. Dial (8/12/34 - 2/21/06):
O almighty and eternal God, Lord of both the living and the dead, Your tender mercy embraces all men foreknown to be Yours by faith and a good life. Through the intercession of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary our Mother, and of all the saints, grant Your merciful pardon to all mothers for whom we pray, whether they still are living in this world or have departed from this flesh into the world to come. Especially, dear Lord, grant the requests I now make of You for my own beloved mother.
Still missing you very much.
Your son,

Mom's 73rd Birthday
In Loving Memory of my mom, HENRI H. DIAL (8/12/34 to 2/21/06).

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy; Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood, as to understand, to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Happy 73rd Birthday, Mom. I miss you.

Your son, Erik

One Year Anniversary of Burial
I don't know what was more difficult:  the one year anniversary of my mom passing or the one year anniversary of her burial?  I still find myself looking for meaning in life.
